About the project
sustainable energy for
rural homes
Safeplan Uganda promotes and
distributes energy efficient cooking and lighting technologies to rural homes. Sales and
distribution of energy product was first started in 2017 with seed loan of
$2,000 from Eventure Organization.
Since then, the
organization has sold more than 5,000 cook stoves across Masindi contributing up
to $5,000 in revenue.
The organization trains youths and women, especially teenage mothers who dropped out of school, to work on producing low-cost
energy cooking stoves and they earn a small commission form the stoves produced.
They are active sales agents bringing in
sustainable income for the organization business opportunity for local women
and men while addressing environmental issues in the community.
PICO Solar Lamps
We supply different solar lanterns, most of our solar product have three step light dim, bright and brighter.
They all come with 2 years warranty and battery life of up to 5 years.
They provide sufficient light for rural homes saving them high cost for kerosene.
Charcoal Cookstove
We supply two type of charcoal stoves,
the dual stove which uses both charcoal and firewood;
and the single stove which uses only charcoal or briquettes.
Both Stoves come with up to 2 years guarantee and we deliver around Masindi district.
